Wall Stencils Question And Answer
I want to have a quote on my bedroom wall. Should I get those rub-off letters to do it? I dont want stencils.?
It will be hard to do one letter at a time and have it line up perfectly. Does anyone know where I can have the whole quote printed on rub-off paper? Or maybe some other way of getting the whole quote on the wall at once, rather then letter by letter? Stencils are messy and dont have the same effect.
Ya know?
Maybe have them specially printed? Maybe there is a place that will make me the quote in sticker form and I can just transpose the stickers to the wall?

Someone might have knowledge to the specialty stickers. If your wall surface is smooth, you can use rented overhead projector to place the image on the wall and then paint it or use permanent markers to draw it, the one advantage is you can move the projector back and forth and get the ideal size on the spot and see the height and L/R positioning before you make any permanent mark.
Try using an over-head projector to shine the quote on the wall. You can use your computer to choose the font you want and print it on a transparent sheet. After that all you have to do is copy it directly to the wall. No need for stencils or rub-off letters.
You should try and get stickers made because with stickers they can get put on easy and they are easy to remove. I know this because I use stickers on my wall and if u get the kind that are designed for walls then they are easy and they're not messy. Also using stickers can be fun so i think you should try the stickers if you want some thing that's mess free.
Since your feelings & opinions may change from time to time, why not a colourful 'quote board' to hang like a poster or plaque and get peel-off fancy letters so you can change quotes as wanted? Board should be shiny [glossy] finish so the peel-offs work better...life changes, ideas change, so keep your options optional!
there is a website that you can make custom orders and they make them and ship them not sure of the price but it looks like the easiest way to do it...

good luck and have fun ...
p.s. I think its a great idea and I may just have to do that myself
Stencils aren't messy if you do it right. First get a stencil brush. Use acrylic paint (cheap at walmart). Put your little dab of paint on a paper plate. Not a lot and not in a blob. When you get paint on the brush have some old rags of some kind to swish the brush around on so that the paint is not heavy. The idea is to ''dry brush'' the paint onto the stencil. You can swish or dab it on. It is easy to line up too. Use masking tape and a level to get a straight line. You can ''eyeball'' the distance between words.
don't do the rub off its hard to get off do it your self
