Wall Stencils Question And Answer
Well, the guy at the hardware store gave me Rustoleum craft paint- figuring it would cover semi-gloss.
Hardly.
Thin as all get out.
Now, I gave the paint 22 hours to dry, in 65% humidity, to be fair. Still, the paint seems to be too thin or based in something that won't adhere right.
Is there an inexpensive paint besides a whole quart of semi-gloss that will cover semi-gloss?

Im wanting to paint a large flower straight onto a wall, is there an easier way that projecting it onto the wall? Im not keen on using stencils!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if it is safe or okay for me to add and mix some canvas acrylic paint with interior home/wall paint and or primer??? I dont want to paint my entire room with it, i just happen to have bit of primer left from painting my room, and since i wanted to add some stenciling on my walls, i was wondering if it would be okay for me to add some acrylic canvas paint to the interior home primer paint in order to get the color i wanted for the stenciling, instead of having to buy a whole new color which im really running low on the cash =/ I would reallly appreciate it if anyone could give me any bit of advice or opinion on this... The baby is a girl. The room is light yellow with sage green French toile fabric and curtains. I am going to stencil a "birds on a pine branch" border in sage green. I'd like a cute French phrase to stencil on the wall above the crib. My other girl's room has a pink and green French toile theme and I have "les jolis petits bebe sont endormis" stencilled on the wall in there. I have decided to do an indigo color on the top half of the room and a violet on the bottom, but I want to do a stencil of a castle. Problem is I can't find a castle stencil and I don't have a lot of money to spend. I don't draw very well, but I think if I can tape a stencil to the wall I can make it look good. Where would I find one for a reasonable price?

So i just painted my room and bought new furniture. I am looking to turn it into "my space." It has been a long long time since i have had my own room and i want it to be something that is my santuary. I am looking for some sort of wall decals/tattoos. All of the items i have seen are very expensive.
I do my own stencil work from time to time, however, i would like an easy way out , as stenciling hurts my hands most of the time from the cutting. Does anyone have any informatoin on where i can find inexpensive wall tattoos/stencils/decals that are large enough to make a difference, but wont break my wallet.

the stencil needs to be BIG. I want to model it after this tree stencil from urban outfitters, if you go to the wall decor under furnish on the site, you can't miss it.

The type of wall stencil that I use is a dry, wax-like material that is tapped with a brush into the stencil. I'm trying to give it a old-world Tuscan look. How can I make it looked faded and old?

It will be hard to do one letter at a time and have it line up perfectly. Does anyone know where I can have the whole quote printed on rub-off paper? Or maybe some other way of getting the whole quote on the wall at once, rather then letter by letter? Stencils are messy and dont have the same effect.

Maybe have them specially printed? Maybe there is a place that will make me the quote in sticker form and I can just transpose the stickers to the wall?

so i saw on some tv show recently i believe it was wall paper or a hand made mural but anyway i saw these walls that were a main color on the back followed by like the loutline or i guess you would call them flowers comeing up from the base board i loved it i have aa purple wall that i would like to put on turquoise flower shadows about three feet tall or so but i cant find a stencil on line to use i dont want old lady flowers but tall stemed modern flowers if u know what im saying but i wanna know where can i get a stencil like this or dose anyone else have an alternitive ideas
