how to make stencils from photos/pictures?

well, very simple! 1. copy the picture blak and white! 2. get a sharp cutter to cut the stencil...and the paper to cut it on, it can be plain paper, transperencys, x-ray paper, freezer paper..etc. and something hard to cut it on top off! 3. cut off ..pretty much all the dark areas! BUT do not cut the islands...make liltte bridges instead (and if you do cut them, dont lose them so then u can tape them into the stencil) found this page to help you wit the islands and bridges http://www.kittybuttons.com/tutorials/islands%20and%20bridges.jpg 4. SPRAY IT! get adhesive spray to get it to stick into the surface u want, it will look much neater! or just tape it... if u have photoshop, u can adjust the contrast and brightness so u get a better view of what to curt, or u can also threshold it! good luck!
