All About Stenciling

Black or white would probably stand out more. If you want it more subtle, I would pick the darkest version of the color you chose. Either way, I would do a test on a piece of oak tag or something you can paint with your wall color, before you committ and start the actual wall.

any kind of latex wall paint will work-forget the stencil paints.
