Stenciling Question And Answer
How would you use 2 colors of paint and stencils in a bedroom?
In my daughter's room we are going to use green and blue paints.
We are also going to stencil with a design shaped like squares (not solid) they can be made to look like a chain. How would you use these paints in this room and where and how on the walls would you use the stenciling?

Stencils are old-fashioned. Just paint the walls a solid color. Then after they dry, go back with painters tape and make designs or stripes on the wall in nice geometric patterns with the second paint color.

Also, you can paint 3 walls one color and use the second color as an accent wall on the fourth. Here's a cool technique: This procedure can be sloppy: in addition to masking off the adjoining walls and ceiling, securely mask baseboards with plastic to prevent leakage. Use a roller to apply a heavy coat of paint to a section of the wall, press a large piece of plastic to the surface, crinkles and all then peel the plastic away (picture:http://img.diynetwork.com/DIY/2003/09/18/d136_6fa_e.jpg) .
how about painting the lighter of the two colors on the top half, darker on bottom half and pick three coordinating colors to stencil along the line between paint colors...use a laser level on tripod and blue painters tape to mask for line.
