Stenciling Question And Answer
Does staining or stenciling your driveway add any value to your home?
Answers
I am planning on getting the concrete of my driveway stained a reddish brick color, they can also fill in any cracks in the concrete. I edged the driveway on both sides in brick to make it look nice. I would say it will add value because it improves the curb appeal and does not cost anything like getting pavers or bricks or stamped concrete would, which is the high end option around here. So it gives you some bang for the buck above expensive options. I would say if there is any cracks in the concrete that need to be filled, or its looking old or tired its a good way to go. Stenciling is a cool idea too.
I watched a video and read an article in www.bejane.com on this subject. I believe its under either exteriors or painting.
I would say yes and know. Yes to someone who likes the look that you have created, and no to the person who has to maintain this over the years. The stain will more than likely fade and will have to be redone which will inturn start to look painted and have an uneven color.
