Wall & Mural Stencils

Stencil Art Question And Answer

How do you make an overhead projector? What is the best approach?

I make stencils for my art and am limited to regual size sheet of paper. I would like to expand the size of these stencils to fully fit shirts and other things. If there is no way to make a projector and you know of good places to find ones for cheap then let me know please. It will be much appreciated. Thank you. -machu

ok. you'll need : -a light source preferably halogen. -a lens or refracting prism. -a distortion free mirror -a white sheet (projection screen) -an enclosure with fan place the ingredients into the enclosure and mix. let sit for 4mins and use as required.
You always can find plenty on ebay, though shipping probably isn't cheap. I guess you are aware that you need to have transparencies for overhead projectors. Otherwise you could scan you image in and print it out any size not on one but several sheets of paper (so it doesn't really matter what size of paper you printer can take). Then you just tape the sheets of paper together and you got your stencil (you may want to include registration marks in your image). I think programs like pagemaker did that without problem, but I don't remember if there are any free programs, but there are bound to be some. Ask another question in whatever category is appropriate if you need to find a program for that.
